About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Gabriella Illuminations

Well, here we are again, it's the start of a new month, and we are more than halfway through the year.  Before we know it, it will be Christmas., so I had better make a start on Christmas cards soon!

Challenge #168  at Creatalicious Challenge Blogspot is Anything Goes with optional distress it

For this challenge, I have used Gabriella Illuminations by Colour of Love who are our lovely sponsors for this challenge.

I love this image, and I had so much fun colouring her with my Polychromo pencils.  I still need a bit of practice on fabric folds though.
We would love to see your card for this challenge, so why don't you enter yours now? You could win 3 images of your choice from the sponsor.
Remember, if you are not in it, you can't win it.

Bye for now, but I'll be back soon.

Something Bright and Fun

Hello from a beautiful sunny hot day in Perthshire.  It has been glorious today, but I don't think it will last much longer.

it's time for Challenge #167 and the theme is Bright and Fun.
Our sponsor this time is CAS-ual Fridays.

Here is my card.

This image is from Magnolia, and it is an older image, from a few years ago.  I love polka dots, so I had to use some polka dot paper to match her scarf!!
She is coloured using Promarkers, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

That's all for tonight, very quick post as I have a thumping sore headache.  Time for bed I think.  I'll try to come back tomorrow.

Challenge #166 Creatalicious Challenges

Hello everyone, from a sunny, warm Perthshire.  The weather is allover the place at the moment.  It has been raining several times today, but at the moment it is gorgeous!!  Very strange indeed.

Well. this post should have gone live on 1st July, but I don't know what happened, it is still sitting in my drafts.  So, I will let you see it now.

So, over on Creatalicious Challenges it is time for

Challenge #166 Anything Goes with optional 2 or more designer papers.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Fabrika Fantasy and I have used the image called Beautiful Enchantress.

I'm afraid that my camera is playing up (if it's not computers,it's cameras!!) so it isn't the best image, as the colours are so much brighter on the original

I coloured this beautiful image from Fabrika Fantasy  using my Polychromos and It is so detailed, and it took quite a while to do.  I recommend heading over to the shop and having a look at the other wonderful images there.

Isn't he hilarious?  I actually sold this card to a lady for her husband's 65th Birthday.  I asked if he was a grumpy old man and she said "Yes he is, it's perfect!"

So, why don't you head over to Creatalicious Challenges and enter your card for Challenge #164?

I'm very very very late!

i had everything under control, I knew what I had to do, several things organised, and hubby decides to book a holiday, right in the middle of my busy time.  I have been chasing my tail ever since.  Everything went wrong, timings were out, and I feel like I need another holiday to recover! lol!!
Anyway - Creatalicious Challenges No. 163 Anything Goes, with option of No Square or Rectangle Card.
This Challenge is sponsored by Polkadoodles

Now, my card is still technically a rectangle, but it is a wobbly rectangle! lol!
I love Polkadoodles, and I have several of their cds This image is great as it can be used for several different occasions.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges
QKR Stampede  - #348

If you have stopped to read this, please leave a wee comment, as I love to see them.  I'll go for now, and I'll try to catch up with everything else!  See you soon!

Creatlicious Challenge 161

Hello again everyone.  We have a lovely day here in Perthshire, still a wee bit cold though.  Not really bikini weather yet!!

Time for the Creatalicious Challenges again, and this was really fun to do!

Challenge #161 ANYTHING GOES with optional black & white + one colour

This challenge is sponsored by Hannah Lynn, and this is one of her brilliant whimsical images.  I have to confess though, I am having a dreadful problem with technology at the moment.  I too a photo using my mobile, but I couldn't for the life of me find where it had gone when I tried to find it on my PC!!  I took another photo using my camera, and for some reason, it is hazy, and not the crisp black, white and turquoise as it is on the card.

I guess I will be spending some time looking at both pc and camera to figure out what is wrong.
It is so frustrating.  If I can get a clearer photo I will load another one up.

Creatalicious Challenge #160- Anything but a card

Hello everyone., I hope you are well.

It'd time for another challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges, so here we go.

Challenge #160 ANYTHING GOES with optional anything but a card

Our sponsor for this challenge is

http://cute-as-a-button-stamps.myshopify.com/

I chose Elly Mae and Clarabelle

This is what I made

This is actually a box, which contains notelets and envelopes.  I have left the image on the notelet uncoloured, so a the recipient can colour it themselves if they wish.

I had fun making this, and it was actually really easy.  I'll definitely be making more.  i have a church coffee morning coming up soon, and I am also taking a stall at a village celebration in May, so hopefully they will sell at both of these ventures.

Well, that's all for now, i have lots to do, but have this ticked off the list now!
Take care and hopefully see you soon.
