About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Crafty Catz Challenges February 23rd 2024

Hello once again, from a cold corner in Perthshire.   Oh I wish the winter was away!!  I hate this cold weather.  I love seeing the snowdrops and daffodils all popping up in the garden, promising that spring is on the way.

This week, in Crafty Catz Challenges, we are sponsored by

Grab My Button

http://beccysplace.com/

Becky has a real mixture of digital stamps.  Some are really amusing and others are beautiful, like the one I chose, and used on my card.

The theme this fortnight is to use more than one fold.  I made an Easel card, which has 2 folds!!

Why Don't you go to look at  beautiful array of stamps at Becky's Place?

Crafy Catz Challenge # 7th October Theme Autumn Colours

Hello again and welcome to my wee blog!  It is time for the weekly challenge over at

Crafty catz weekly challenge.blogspot.com/

The host is Janet and the theme is Autumn Colours

We are sponsored this week by

The prize is  3 digital images.

http://www.thepapershelter.com

I have used the image Autumn Beauty, and she is indeed beautiful

I am not too happy with my colouring.  A lot of my Promarkers are leaking, and it made me grumpy!!  I wish I had coloured the background, I think it would look better.  Never mind, it will be fine!
That's all for now, need to get more knitting done.  I'll show you what I have been working on in my next post!
Bye for now!

Creatalicious Challenges #236

Hello again!  I have just had to fork out for a new laptop, printer and kettle!!!!  Very expensive weekend I had.  Still loading things back onto my laptop, what a nightmare!

It's time for the Creatalicious Challenge once again.  This time the theme is "Lots of Bling"

I have chosen this wee card for a new baby

Once again, I have chosen an image from Mo Manning.  Isn't she a cutie?  This image can also be used for a boy of course.

I have coloured this image with Promarkers, the gems and embellies were from my stash.

I hope you like m y card, and remember you can see more Designer's cards on the Creatalicious challenges blogspot

Bye for now, I'll hopefully be back soon!!

Creatalicious Challenges #229

Hello again!  I hope you are well and staying safe.  It is really cold here in St Madoes, and we keep being told that snow is on the way, but so far, touch wood, it has stayed away.

It is time for another challenge at Creatalicious Challenges  The theme is Anything Goes, with the option of doing your own background.

For my background, I used a honeycomb stencil and I also stamped some wee bees all over, colouring them with Promarkers.

It isn't easy to see on my pic, but the big bee's wings are acetate and lift off the page.

The stamps are from Pink Ink, a brand I only discovered recently.

So, now, it is over to you!  Have a look on the Creatalicious Challenges Blog at the other Design Team Member's Cards to get some inspiration and get your own card on there!

Creatalicious Challenges #228

 Hello again!

How are things in your part of the world?

It is cold  and windy here with more storms forecast.

  I hate winter!!

Over at Creatalicious Challenges the challenge is to create a card with the theme of love.

It will soon be Valentine's Day after all!

I have chosen a card I made showing an elderly couple, who are very obviously still very much in love.

I simply adore this image. Mo Manning has excelled yet again.  They just look so sweet, don't they?  I kept the decoration simple, so the main focus was on the coloured image.

This was coloured using my Promarkers, and I coloured the clouds using chalks.

Well, that's me for now, I'll hopefully be back really soon.

Take care till then!

If you want to make me happy, just give me a paper pad.

The Round the World Bog Hop is still on over at Let's Scrap.  I have not been doing much cardmaking or scrapping, as knitting has taken over for the moment!  Each stage of the hop is called a Leap so the card below is Leap 6 and the sketch above is what it is based on.  I used one of Mo Manning's beautiful images, and just used up some paper and flowers from my stash.
I have decided to enter this card into the flower challenge over at The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog. First time I have entered a challenge in a long while! Here is the link to the site if you wish to go and have a lookie!!

This card is Leap 8 ( I know it is out of order, haven't done Leap 7 yet!)  Yet again, a Mo Manning image and more papers from my stash.  io  thought this wee image showed exactly how I feel when I forget someone's birthday, so I made it a belated Birthday Card.  Must go and get more cards done, you never know I may be back tomorrow! LOL!!!
Still no sign of Baby yet, and Marie is very bery fed up (so am I - so impatient!!) I just wish that the hospital had not mucked about with her dates, as they gave the impression she would have had the baby by now, but in fact, it seems that her first dates were the correct  ones.  Never mind he will come when he is ready.  In the meantime, here is another wee outfit complete with matching teddy!

Here is a layout I have made using the sketch below, which is Sketch #213 from Sketch Inspirations. The photo was taken on Shelley Beach on the Coramandel Peninsula, New Zealand and shows my daughter Corinne watching the sunset. I love the photograph and wanted it to dominate the layout, so made this very, very simple, just using 2 pieces of paper, some Prima pearls and some ribbon. I was asked to make a couple of Anniversary cards, and the one below is for a Golden Wedding. I used a downloaded image from Mo Manning and coloured it with promarkers. Some gold Mirra card, and some prima flowers complete the card. This card, however, is my favourite. This is for a Platinum (70 years) Wedding Anniversary. Once more, I have used an image from Mo Manning. The Paper is from Creative Imaginations and I have also used some Prima Pearls which I simply love at the moment!
