Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

I'm late, I'm late!!!!

Hello again!

I havve had problems with my laptop, and it had to go into the shop to get fixed.  Because of this, I am late in showing you my latest DT card for Creatalicious Challenges, so without furter ado, here it is now.

now, I have a confession to make.  As I was having these p.c. problems, I actually FORGOT to make my card!!!! Gasp!!!! i received an email asking me about know my card, so I had to hurriedly set to work.  Well, I know  I had printed it out, to colour, but could I find it, not on your life.  I hunted high and low in my craft room, to no avail.  I had to re-print it, then rapidly colour it, make my card, and then put the image on the top.  I added a piece of ribbon and a sentiment and voila!!  One very very quick card.  I have to say it is not one of my best efforts, but at least I got there in the end.  I missed the date that it should have been uploaded to the challenge blog, so i have put myself in the naughty corner for some time-out.
The sponsor for this challenge, is Lacy Sunshine, and I have used one of her designs in my card, it is called Lil Bellyfuls how happy do these 2 little unicorns look?
I'd love you to enter the challenge at Creatalicious Challenges

Hello everyone!!

This time, it is sponsored by The Paper shelter  which just happens to be one of my favourite Digital Stamp Shops!!

 I made this card using

I coloured the image with Promarkers, then fussy cut her.
I  attached a piece of Baker's Twine to each side of her hammock, so as she was actually swinging.
I attached her hammock to a piece of flower patterned paper, then
stamped some green branches to resemble trees.

I then stamped a couple of sentiments on the 'sky area'

Saints and Scissors

Hello again!  I've been very busy recently, setting up a craft group in our local Community Centre.  We have a wee church here in the village, and it was too small for the amount of people who were attending,  especially the amount of children we have there.  They decided to build a brand new building.  It took 3 years from planning to completion and it is the most wonderful place!!! There is the church section, meeting rooms, and a soft play area for children, as well as an outdoor area for children to play.  there is also a small garden with raised beds so people in wheelchairs can do some gardening. There is so much for the people in the village to do now.  Yoga, Pilates, Seated exercise, dancing, badminton, organised jogging and walking to name but a few.  We have a cafe area, where you can get tea, coffee etc., and some wonderful sandwiches and cakes!!!!!  I volunteered to help show people round and explain all about it, and I am really enjoying it.  I was asked if I wanted to start a wee craft group, which I have done.  As we live in St. Madoes, and all crafters use scissors, I came up with the name Saints and scissors!  I applied to our local council for a start up grant, and it was successful, so I now have a real excuse to go shopping!!!!!!  There are only 4 ladies at the moment, but I will be advertising it soon, to encourage more people to join us.

Enough rambling on, here are some of the cards we have been making.

We've had fun making these cards, and I'm looking forward to the weeks
and months ahead when we will be making some more.

Kit and Clowder Colouring

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.
I have been so busy of late.  I have started a wee craft group in our village, and I didn't realise just how much time it would take to prepare things for the class!!

Anyway, I managed to get some crafting done for myself too.

I have been colouring using the tutorial from Alyce at kit and clowder  I am really far behind though, as this one is from 2016! lol!!

I have also been doing some some Scrapbooking and have made this layout showing my gorgeous daughter-in-law to be.  I can't wait for the wedding in December, as I know she will be a beautiful bride.

Okay, this is going to be a quick post, as I have lots to do!
Bye Bye till the next time.

Gliding By to say Hi!!

Hello everyone!  I hope the snow has all gone from your area, we just have mounds where it has been pushed into the side off the roads. Hopefully it will melt soon . So many people around here were snowed in and missed their work, it was dreadful!

Now, onto happier things.  I was asked to be Guest Designer for
Through the Craft Room Door Challenge Blog and I had to choose between 2 images
from Twinkle Lane Designs and I chose the Balloon image.

Here is the card I made, it features a slider, which makes the balloon move up
the card like it was sailing into the sky.

I also used paper from Twinkle Lane Designs which was perfect for
the scene I wanted to create.  I coloured the balloon with Promarkers, and I had
2 little wooden birds which I added.
I was really pleased how it turned out,
My card was featured on the Through the Craft Room Door,
and also in their online magazine.
Happy Days!
It is so much fun when you can see your work in print.

Okay, I now need to go and get organised for the
Saints and Scissors Craft Group tomorrow.
Stay warm everyone, there are brighter days ahead! (hopefully!!!!!!)

Cute Bridesmaids

Hello again! It has been snowing here,  it was very pretty, but very cold. It is thawing now, so it is a bit wet and messy outside.  We went for a walk, and my suede boots were wet right through to my socks.  Yuk!!  Came home and had a coffee and a piece of rhubarb tart, and I was back to normal.   All cosy now, so I'm loading up a card for some challenges.

As soon as i saw this image from Lilli of the Valley, I just had to have it.  I think it is so sweet.  I made a clean and simple card, all white, with just a touch of lavender.
I would like to enter it in the following challenges.
