About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

LOL!   I have been spending a lot of time in the garden, so I've not been getting much crafting done, with the exception of projects for my craft group.

However, I have this little card here, using a stamp from Lilli of the Valley.  I think it is adorable, the wee teddy is just super cute!

Cute Bridesmaids

Hello again! It has been snowing here,  it was very pretty, but very cold. It is thawing now, so it is a bit wet and messy outside.  We went for a walk, and my suede boots were wet right through to my socks.  Yuk!!  Came home and had a coffee and a piece of rhubarb tart, and I was back to normal.   All cosy now, so I'm loading up a card for some challenges.

As soon as i saw this image from Lilli of the Valley, I just had to have it.  I think it is so sweet.  I made a clean and simple card, all white, with just a touch of lavender.
I would like to enter it in the following challenges.

Creatilicious Challenges  #131 Anything Goes with optional cute

Well, that's all for today, I need to go and work on a project for our craft club.
Bye for now, and thanks for popping in for a visit! xx

Card for Freya

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I have a new card to share with you today.
I made this for my wee Granddaughter, Freya, who was 2 years old yesterday.
I am making an attempt at different card folds, to get away from the square ones which I usually do.

Okay, it's still square in places, but it is a bendy square! LOL!!

I used one of my favourite colour combos, pink and brown.

I can't remember the maker of the image above, but it is a really sweet design.  I have put all my rubber stamps into special folders, and no longer have the details.  If you recognise the maker, please let me know?

The two images above are from Lilli of the Valley.
The paper is from Bo Bunny (my favourite)
The pinwheels are from Papermania.
Gems are from stash.

Challenges

I have been busy making cards for challenges this week.  I wish I was clever enough to make a card and enter it into numerous challenges at once, but I can never manage that!!  So here we go.......
Challenge One - Simon Says Stamp - Use the sketch above by Dawny.......
................ and here is my card, using a Lilli of the Valley image.  I have had this sweet wee image coloured for a long time and have never got round to using it.  The papers (from Pink Petticoat) show some of my favourite colours. The buttons, bows and wee birdie were from my stash.

 Challenge Two
This card is (as you can probably guess) for Mo's Challenge, where the theme is Flowers.  This image is sooooooooooooooo cute! I love it!  I love my Teddies so I can totally relate to this1 LOL!!!!

Challenge Three
The third card is for The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog where the theme is Circles.  It shows another of my favourite colour combos, blue and brown.  The papers are from Nitwits and were free in a magazine.  The image is from Magnolia and I have placed her on the steps which are also from Magnolia.  I added some leaves and flowers and a beaded pin.  I used my cricut and my Spellbinders Beaded Circles to cut the circles.
Before  I go, I must share a couple of photos of my Grandsons firstly, we have Hadley, wearing his Mummy's lipstick!!!!

 gorgeous isn't he? LOL!!!!

and finally, wee Jackson.  Yes, we all feel like this sometimes don't we? LOL!!!
thanks for looking at my blog - take care.

I have been busy making cards and thought I would share some.  The first one is a  Lilli of the Valley stamp and once again I have used Promarkers.  Some sticky ribbon, flowers, pearls and sparkly buttons complete the card.

This is an old Penny Black stamp, but I simply love it.  The Cat is so cute in his boxer shorts.  The sentiment is a Lilli of the Valley stamp and paper is from stash.
Another Lilli of the Valley stamp which is on a Get Well Card.  I used my Martha Stewart border punch to create the layered effect.
My daughter, Marie and I made some Thank you Cards for her friend who has just had a baby boy.  This was one of the samples which we made to show her.  this shows a really cute Hanglar and StAngler Stamp and we die-cut the cards and the backing paper to give them a lovely shape.  We used a Cuttlebug to make the mount for the wee baby boy picture.

I thought I would attempt to make a "scrapbook" canvas, and I am actually quite pleased with my first attempt!  The photograph shows my daughter Corinne's Parents-in-law.  We all stopped for a bite to eat in a lovely little restaurant and we sat outside in the garden.  It was a lovely sunny day (as it normally is in New Zealand!!) and I managed to get this natural photo of Graham and Christine.  I will get it packaged up and sent over to them as a thank you for all they did for us when we were over on holiday.  I am now going to start a Scrapbook layout so wish me luck!
