About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

On time for a change!!

Yes, believe it or not, I have managed to complete the Let's Scrap sketch in time this week Woo Hoo!!  I have only used the right hand side of the sketch.  This shows Dylan and Hadley down at Hamilton Gardens.  It is a beautiful place with lots of seperate gardens within it.  Japanese, English, Indian to name but a few.  It is a beautiful place for weddings and on the day we went, there were 2 wedding taking place.    I wasn't with the twins on this occasion unfortunately, but I love the photos, especially the one on the left.  I can see the beauty in that wall, and it's almost as if Dylan can see it too!  I used Basic Grey, Ambrosia papers and everything else was from my stash.  I was actually quite pleased with the way this turned out!
Okay, now I need to go and try to get more cards done for the Let's Scrap Blog Hop.  I only have a couple of days to finish and don't think I will manage to get them all done!  Oh, still no baby news, he really seems to like where he is right now!  Marie is really, really fed up now!!  I am really impatient as well now!  I'll let you know if there is any more news!
Thanks for stopping by!!

The Round the World Bog Hop is still on over at Let's Scrap.  I have not been doing much cardmaking or scrapping, as knitting has taken over for the moment!  Each stage of the hop is called a Leap so the card below is Leap 6 and the sketch above is what it is based on.  I used one of Mo Manning's beautiful images, and just used up some paper and flowers from my stash.
I have decided to enter this card into the flower challenge over at The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog. First time I have entered a challenge in a long while! Here is the link to the site if you wish to go and have a lookie!!

This card is Leap 8 ( I know it is out of order, haven't done Leap 7 yet!)  Yet again, a Mo Manning image and more papers from my stash.  io  thought this wee image showed exactly how I feel when I forget someone's birthday, so I made it a belated Birthday Card.  Must go and get more cards done, you never know I may be back tomorrow! LOL!!!
Still no sign of Baby yet, and Marie is very bery fed up (so am I - so impatient!!) I just wish that the hospital had not mucked about with her dates, as they gave the impression she would have had the baby by now, but in fact, it seems that her first dates were the correct  ones.  Never mind he will come when he is ready.  In the meantime, here is another wee outfit complete with matching teddy!

Let's Scrap and Ribbons and Buttons Blog Candy

Sketch time at Let's Scrap yet again and this is what I came up with.  The Photos show Dylan trying to pack himself into his wee suitcase as he said he was coming to see me!!  Oh how I wish that were true.  His Mummy and Daddy are planning a trip home to Scotland, but not for another 5 years, so I will have to be patient until then!!  I didn't notice until I took the photo that I had actually put the corrugated card so as it was vertical on one side, and horizontal on the other side! DOH!!!!!  Never mind, it's all stuck down now and will have to stay like that.  Still using up stash, so the papers and chipboard were from Crate Paper - Seasons.  Quote Journalling tag is from My Mind's Eye and the ribbon was from my stash.  I knew if I kept those little bitty bits they would come in useful some day! LOL!!!

Over on Jak Heath's blog, she is offering some Blog Candy from
Fantastic Ribbons
here is the link to their site

Still no baby news I'm afraid and Marie is so fed up!  I took another photo yesterday and she would kill me if she knew I had put it on here! LOL!!!  She says she feels HUGE!!!!!
I think she looks great!  Right, must go and get some work done.  Still have to make more cards for the Let's Scrap Blog Hop, so think that's what I will do next.
thanks for stopping by!! Enjoy your weekend everyone!

There is a month long Blog Hop over at Let's Scrap and we are hopping all over the world!!  Each blog which you visit has a sketch and if you become a follower on that blog and also make a card using the sketch they show, you can go into a draw for some candy! Woo-Hoo!!!!  Here are the cards I have made so far.

This card is using papers and chipboard from my stash.  I have so much lying around and I have challenged myself to use it up!!!

Most of the paper used on these cards is by Basic Grey, Boxer Collection and the chipboard is Basic Grey Periphery.  I have had it for such a long time!

I am still working on this week's sketch, and won't get it uploaded in time I fear!  I have been spending a lot of time at Marie's as she is now suffering a  lot of pain in her hips.  She was at the hospital last Friday, and they said they will leave her another week to see what happens.  She is going back this Thursday, so hopefully Baby will decide to come real soon!  She would like to know if she is to have a c-section or not, but they are keeping her in suspense poor thing!  Must go and get organised as my lovely hubby is taking me out for tea tonight at the Manzil Indian Restaurant.  Can't wait yum!!!

Before I go, I must tell you what is happening over at The Saturated Canary  Krista is having a competition to design new stamps and is asking for suggestions.  10 will be made into Digital stamps.  I think it would be so cool to have your onw stamp design made up, so my suggestion is a wedding couple, with the Groom in a full Highland Dress outfit (Kilt etc.,)  as I have not yet been able to find either a digital or rubber stamp with this on it.  Wish me luck, you never know, I might be picked!  Here is the link if you want to go and leave a suggestion yourself!!

This is the latest sketch from Let's Scrap and I am pleased to say this layout worked out better than the last one I did! LOL!!! There is a beautiful lake near to where Corinne and her family live and they often take the boys there and they feed the ducks and have a walk around.  I used Basic Gray Periphery papers and the chipboard was also Basic Gray Boxer. This was very quick and simple to put together and it used up some of my stash! Woo-Hoo!!

Still no sign of the baby yet, I am getting so impatient now!!  Poor Marie is struggling somewhat as her hips are now really sore.  We think she will probably have to get a c-Section, but will have to wait and see.  I'm off now to make some cards for the Let's Scrap Bloghop!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

This is the sketch for Let's Scrap 1-25-12.  I have used photos taken 15 years ago of my daughter Marie, and Greg my stepson who took part in the youth Club Pantomime.  They did a production of the Wizard of Oz.  Marie was the Wicked Witch and Greg was the Cowardly Lion.  Lynsey who stayed next door was the Good Witch.  They all did a wonderful job and everyone loved it!  Marie really surprised me as she stood up and sang on stage and she is usually so very very shy!  I used papers from Graphic 45 which were perfect for the job and the matching chipboard was also from them.  I had a really hard job doing this layout and was not happy with it (Still feel it could be better!) and I actually ripped some of the paper off to start again!  I had to do a patch-up with the yellow circle of paper as I had cut it up to do it a different way. Never mind, it is another layout in Marie's long-awaited scrapbook!

I have still been knitting lots of clothes for the new baby , and will post them on here after Marie's Baby shower on 11th February.  Have fun, hapy crafting and thanks for stopping by!
