About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Well I hope you all had a super Christmas!  We had fun with Jackson, playing with all his toys, it was brilliant!  wee Freya and her Mummy and Daddy came down on Boxing Day, and the fun started all over again!  Here are a couple of photos of them both playing with their new toys.

I'm still waiting for photos from New Zealand but I will pop some n here when I get them!

I have not had any time to do any crafty projects this week, but I am entering the following card in the

Thee are 4 penguins on this too, so I hope it is allowed!!  I had such a job tracking down this digital stamp, I saw it on Pinterest and had to follow through to a blog and then search through the whole thing until I found it so as I could then find out where it came from and then buy it!!    in case you want to buy it, it is called Snowman and Penguins and it can be found here   Crisy's Digis for Whimsy Stamps

Mo's Digital Challenge # 213

The theme for the challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge this week is

Challenge #213 - Animals, Birds, Bees, Insects, &/or Fairies w/Mo image

This card has a wee doggy poking his wee nose through the hole in the fence.  It was just crying out to be used as a "Hello" card!

I coloured the image with promarkers, and all the materials were from my stash. Trying desperately to use up all the stuff I have lying around- I am sure all crafters have the same problem.  As well as all the paper, chipboard, flowers etc, I have wool - bags and bags of wool, but of course when I go to make something, I never seem to have the colour or thickness I need so I just go and buy some more!

I'm going to make a layout now, haven't done one for a couple of weeks, so withdrawal symptom s setting in!
Thanks for stopping, please call again!

Party Time Tuesdays

The challenge at  Party Time Tuesdays is
Merry Christmas Projects

Here is my card for the challenge, and it shows a Magnolia stamp from A Christmas Story 2012 and is called Tilda with Two Gifts.

I used Promarkers to colour the image, and cut out a deckled rectangle frame from Spellbinders and mounted it onto red card.
I also used A Fir Tree die from Marianne's which I covered with White Flower Soft to resemble snow.
I also used papers from Bo Bunny and the north pole stamp is from Lily of the Valley
A very quick and easy card to make!

Must go now, time to make some dinner for the family!
Thank you for stopping here and please come back soon!

Mo's Digital Challenge

I have been poorly all week with a chest infection, so nothing much has been made in my little craft room.  I have withdrawal symptoms today, so had to do some crafting!!

The Challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge is "I is for"

So here is my card and I have got sparkly icicles on the corner!
I adore this image, and she was fun to colour too.  I cut the image outside the Spellbinders frame, so her wing sticks out past the edge of the frame.

Materials used were
Image - Mo Manning - Winter Fairy Talva
Papers - Bo Bunny
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley
Snowflakes - Spellbinders
Icicles - Frostyviille Corner - Memory Box

I started to write my Christmas Cards last night, and realised I still did not have enough, so I will have to go and make more now!

Hope it is not too cold in your corner of the world!!

Cutie Pie # 58

Hello from a very rainy, dark St. Madoes!
The Scottish word I like to use is driech and it fits today very well.  I really don't like this kind of weather.

Another challenge card today - cutie Pie Challenge Blog have the theme

Cute Scenes and Backgrounds

I have done this sunny scene to cheer me up.  The images are all from  Make it Crafty where you will find some brilliant  digital stamps and the backgrounds are amazing.
I've gone for quite muted colours on this, using peach and lemon which are colours I don't normally use.
I'm still battling through Christmas Cards and I will post some on here soon.
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are.
Bye for now!

Party Time Tuesday's colour challenge

Over at Party Time Tuesdays  the challenge of the week is to use this colour palette.  These are some of my favourite colours I must admit,

I have used a digital fireplace background - can't remember from where and a Magnolia stamp.
I have cut out the Magnolia image and put some foam pads behind her to give a bit of definition to the card.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch and a piece of ribbon for the side of the card.
I am slowly getting my Christmas Cards made, I also sell cards in the local Hotel, so they took a bundle away the other day.  Just means I have more to make now! LOL!!
I am going now to  make a layout for Scrapbook Magazine using a sketch.  Look out for 2 of my layouts in Issue 78
Thanks for stopping by!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge

That Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays is "Anything Goes" so..........here goes!!!
This card has been made using an image from Mo Manning.  I think this wee image is soooo cute and she looks all shy and coy.   I have used Nitwits papers and some gems from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment and used a Spellbinders Die to mount it up.  I put the wee figure on foam pads to make her stand out a bit more.  As usual, image was coloured using promarkers.
I'm off to make more cards - I have started my Christmas Cards - so much for my New Year Resolution which was to make a Christmas Card every week! Thanks for stopping and taking a wee look. Please leave some comments, I like seeing them!

Baby Girl Card

This is a card I  made using a beautiful wee digital stamp from Wee Stamps.  I think this is such a beautiful image and I saw it on a card on Pinterest, and I just had to track it down!!  I was so happy when I found it and I made this card straight away.

I used the following to make the card

Papers from My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Collection
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Martha Stewart Hearts punch
Spellbinders Die for leaves
Magnolia Doo-Hickey Swirl
Pearls from stash

I have just discovered a site called The Paper Shelter and their stamps are amazing!  You don't just get a digital stamp, you get backing papers, and a coloured image as well for inspiration!!  I have bought some stamps, and I am off to colour them now! They are having a Design Team Call so I have decided to apply. I've managed to be on 2 design teams for my Scrapbooking, and I would love to be on a Design Team for cards too. Fingers crossed, but I know they will have lots and lots of applicants.

I'm off to do some colouring now!  I'll be back soon!  Thanks for stopping for a visit!

Love U Elmo!

This layout was based on the sketch below from Let's Scrap. 7-6-11  Hadley loves his cuddly toys and especially Elmo.  He used to fight with Dylan his twin brother as they both wanted him, so when I went over for a visit I took another Elmo with me.  Dylan no longer seems to want Elmo, so wee Hadley just cuddles them both!  They even sit and watch t.v. together!  I used T.P.C. Studio, Transportation papers and brtads and the ELmo Stickers were form Jolee's boutique.

This layout is based on another Let's Scrap sketch No 7-13-11  This shows Dylan using his toys in an alternative way!  He is such a cheeky wee thing and these photos just show him at his best!!  I used 3 bugs in a rug, Snips n Snails paper and stickers and the buttons (lots of them and I don't know why!)  were from my stash.

Scooter Magnolia and Meeting Thomas

I am sharing this  Magnolia Card with you, which I have just finished.  I used My Mind's Eye Papers called Sunshine.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow is made with  ribbon from Bazzill.

I am entering this card in a challenge

Tilda's Town Challenge which is  "Anything Goes"

We went to Brechin last weekend, and Jackson got to see Thomas the Tank Engine and we had a ride on him. It was so  so busy!  Lots of little kiddies with their parents, all trying to get photos with Thomas.  I am sharing a couple with you.

Scrapbook Magazine Design Team

I received wonderful news recently, when I was asked to be on the design team for Scrapbook Magazine.  I was so excited and I squealed and squealed and couldn't wait to tell my family!!  I had to submit 4 layouts for their "Meet the Design Team" feature and here are the layouts I selected for them. I have had to wait until the Magazine was out in the shops before I could share my news with you.
.

This one shows Dylan helping his Daddy to mow the lawn.I love the way that he really looks as if he is working hard, and his dirty wee face is so cute!
This layout shows Jackson in his baby bath, before he moved to the big bath. He loves to splash and you can see the water he is splashing up in the air, and he is not the slightest bit afraid.

This layout shows my husband Eric, when we were on holiday in Egypt. He got speaking to one of the locals, and he offered to take him out into the desert on a quad bike. He had an amazing time, and they we right off the beaten track away from all the touristy stuff.
Lastly, this layout shows my Mum in photos taken around 60 years ago  I thought it unusual that 2 of them were taken when my mum was walking down a busy street.  In the 2nd one, my Granny is in the background. unfortunately, I don't know where they were taken, which is a shame, as it would have been lovely to put that information on the layout.

Well, there you go, my exciting news.  I can't wait to see what they have lined up for me and will share my layouts with you once they have appeared in the magazine.

Enjoy Every Moment

The theme over at Mo's Challenge is "Something Sweet".  This makes it quite easy, as ll Mo's images are sweet! The difficult thing is deciding which one to choose! LOL! I have settled for this wee image called So Funny.  She is  having a fit of the giggles and her wee dog giving her such a look! I love it!!
I used papers from Nitwits which were free from a magazine.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and tied them together with pink ribbon.  Lastly I added some card candy which again was free!  Off to do some scrapping now, have a layout on my desk which just needs to be all stuck down.  Back soon!

Freebie Stamp

I have been so so busy recently and have not had the time to blog. Hopefully I will get more time now and I can get some posting done!  I used my spellbinders die to cut out the sandcastle, bucket & spade, shells and starfish.

This was a freebie digi stamp from Crafty Sentiments and I was going to enter this card in their challenge, but I have missed the deadline! Never mind, maybe the next time! LOL!!

This is a card using a stamp from Prairie Fairy.  I love her cute images, they are so cheeky!  Even the dog has a cheeky face!
I'm off now to try and do more crafting - I'll be back soon!!

Hadley & Dylan's Pirate Cards.

It will soon be the Twins' 4th Birthdays and they are having a Pirate themed party this year. I had to keep the theme going on their cards didn't I?  So here is what I came up with for them.
1st Card is using an image from Mo Manning.  I used Nitwits Papers which were free from a craft Magazine, as was the parrot!

This card has a Magnolia image, and shows Edwin looking very handsome indeed!  I used the same Nitwits papers and the flag embellishment was part of that pack also.

I managed to find some T-shirts with Skull & Crossbones on them, and also some cute wee boxers with skulls on them as well, so I think I did okay with the theme!!

I'm off to do some more crafting now, I'll be back soon!

Short post at the moment, trying to catch up so going now to do a layout! thanks for stopping for a wee look and please leave some comments as I like to know you have been here!

Hugs & Beautiful

I am a wee bitty late with this post, I honestly don't know where the time goes!!!!  This layout shows Jackson giving me cuddles when he was just a few months old.  My hair was so short then, and he had lost his hair at both sides, so we were both having a bad hair day! LOL!!!

This is the sketch I used, from  Let's Scrap  and I just used the left side.
I used K & Co Addison Papers,
Lettering is from K.I. Memories
Ribbon - We R Memory Keepers
Buttons from stash

This sketch is from  Inspired Blueprints and shows my DD Marie, when she was celebrating her 30th Birthday.

I used papers, stickers and lettering from Echo Park This & That, Graceful Collection.

Hopefully I will be back soon! Hope to see you then!!

Who's Who?

This is the layout I made using the right side of sketch below from Let's Scrap 1-9-13

The layout shows Marie in two photos and her wee boy Jackson in the other two.  They have been taken when they were about the same age, and I couldn't help but notice the similarity between the two of them!!
I used papers from American Crafts
Lettering was also from American Crafts
Paperclips and ribbon were from my stash
Owls - Kanban

The layout below shows  one of the photos which Jackson had taken by the photographer just before Christmas.  When she took the photo, I thought it looked horrible, because the headphones were purple, he had on an orange and yellow check shirt, and the hat she put on him was red and green! yuck!!  She produced it in black and white though, and it looked amazing!!  She obviously knew what she was doing!! LOL!!

Off to do another layout now!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend!!

Shine & Grow

I am trying to play catch-up with the sketches over at Let's Scrap, as I didn't get any layouts done over Christmas.
this sketch is dated 2/1/13
This is the layout I did, using up my stash.  It shows the twins when they were just a few weeks old.  I have had this photo sitting around for ages, and decided to get it done!!
Papers - Webster's Pages
Lettering K & Co
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Gems - ZVA Creative
Butterflies and ribbon from stash.

We also received some really good news over the Christmas Period, as Greg and Kim announced that they would be having a baby in June!! Move over Royal Baby, ours is much more special! LOL!!!  they are going to find out at the next scan if it is a boy or a girl.  Secretly hoping it is a wee girl, so as I can do girlie pages and cards and knit wee pink outfits!!  I'll still love a wee boy just as much though!  Main thing is we want Kim and the baby to keep healthy.
