About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Party Time Tuesday Challenge #190

I have not been blogging in a while, life caught me up and just wouldn't let go!!!  I'm now determined to get more me time, and I will be blogging every week for definite now!  So, without any more ado, the challenge at Party Time Tuesdays is

#190 Anything Goes

I have chosen this card, which was one I gave to my Team Leader Tracy at work.  I desperately wanted to cut down to 4 days work a week, and HR to begin with, would have none of it.  She pleaded my case, and succeeded in getting me working one day less.
I had to send her a nice card to say Thank You as I was so relieved. So from now on, Tuesday is my day off and that is my crafting Day! Woopee!!!

I used an image from Mo Manning.  I know that Tracy loves her dog, so thought this was perfect.
As usual it was coloured with ProMarkers
Paper from Nitwits
Flowers, Stamen and silver corner from Wild Orchid Crafts

Right, I am off to do some more crafting!! I will be back soon!

Mo's Digital Challenge #223 Birthday for a Girl

Mo's Digital Challenge #223  Birthday for a Girl

This is the card I made for Kim's Birthday in July. I love this wee girl pushing this massive parcel.   I added a big bow on top of the parcel, and I put Kim's name on the tagthe border at the side is one of my favourite  Martha Stewart punches.  I then added a big Happy Birthday, to go with the big parcel!!
I've just put  a whole load of cards down the the Hotel, where they have them in the Dinig Room, and they are for sale with proceeds going to Lupus.  They have been selling very well recently, which is great!
You should head over to http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ and have a look at all the cards there.  There is some great inspiration to be seen.

Summer!!! Scrapbook Magazine Issue 83

Scrapbook Magazine Issue 83

My Design Team layout in this Issue was based on the title - Summer

I knew I couldn't rely on photos from a Scottish Summer, so The Kiwis came to the rescue once more.  The photos show Harrison and his Daddy walking in the sea.  He wasn't too keen at first, like a lot of Autistic children, but eventually he decided that he liked it.  They were at the Beach at Mount Manganui in New Zealand.  We took a trip there when we were over and it was beautiful.

This layout gave me the chance to use up lots of little embellishments from my stash, including a bit of netting from a bag of oranges! It's great when you can scrap with things that were free!!  There is also sunglasses, little starfish, a bottle of juice and a wee lifeguard.  With the theme of summer, the title was perfect, and the metal Surf's Up just completed it.  How I wish I was back over there instead of sitting here on a grey day in Scotland.  Never mind, we are saving like crazy to get back over there, and the trip can't come quick enough, believe me!!

Must go and get some colouring done, as Jackson is not here and he won't pinch my pens!  Have a great Sunday everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Challenge, Things with Wings

All sorts of weird things happening on my blog.  the font is different and it is bold and it won't let me change it!!!!

Over at  Mo's Digital Challenge there is

Challenge #234 Anything With Wings
Mo has lots of images with wings, and I love every one of them.  I am going to enter the card below.

It's not the best photo I have taken, and I have given the card away so can't take another one!!

I used lilac pearl card and punched a border using a Martha Stewart Punch
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Silver corner embellishment - Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls from stash

The image was coloured with promarkers.
I have been pra tising with Polychromo pencils and will pop a card on here tomorrow.
Thanks for coming by, stay safe and be happy, and did you notice the bold disappeared!!  Lol!!

Once Upon A Sketch

I've just discovered a new Scrapbook Sketch Site Once Upon A Sketch  I really liked the sketch they had, so had to do a layout!!  Unfortunately, I found it too late for their Challenge, but now I have found them, I will be ready for the next one.

The boys were 5 on 26th April, they started school a few days after that and then  they got their Yellow Belts a couple of days after that!!  They were the youngest to ever do that in the School they go to.

Here are a couple of close-ups.  I used yellow Pan Pastels and a  piece of sequin mesh, and also blue Pan Pastels  with a clock stencil, as a background.  The paper strip, buttons and metal plate were all from Bo Bunny

I used Perfect Pearls to highlight over the pan pastel.  I put secret journalling behind the photo on the left, on the back of the No 5 Playing Card.

Thank you for stopping, and I hope you have fun crafting!!

Birthday Card for a Boy

We have had lovely weather here for a few days, but it is pouring down rain today.  Hope it doesn't last too long and we get the sunshine back again.

It's Challenge Time at Mo's Digital Challenge Blog

#Challenge 233 Birthday for a Boy

This is a card I made for my friend to give to her wee Grandson on his 4th Birthday

I have used this image for a few cards now, it is so cute.

I would also like to show you a photo of our wee Princess who celebrated her 1st Birthday on 1st July.  Here she is having fun in her ball pit.

Well, time to go and make dinner again.  Hope to see you back here soon!

It's A Girl's World

 It' a Girl's World
and I thought this card was perfect for the challenge!

I gave this card to my daughter Marie for her Birthday as she practices Karate along with the twins Dylan and Hadley.  Here are their photographs.

As you can see the card almost mirrors Corinne's photograph.

Here are Dylan and Hadley being graded for their yellow belts.  They were the youngest to do this, as they are meant to be 5 before they start Karate, but they got to start earlier, because their Mummy was doing it.  They got their Yellow Belts the week after their 5th Birthday!!
Well, must go and get more crafting done.  It's a miserable day outside, just perfect for shutting myself away in my craft room.  See you soon and thanks for stopping for a wee look.

Almost everything on this layout is from the Bo Bunny Primrose Collection
Card Candy is from Craftwork Cards

I want to enter this in the scrap Scrap 365 Blogspot and this was the sketch we had to use this sketch.

New Beginnings

The theme at Mo's Digital Pencil is New Beginnings

There is quite a lot of scope
with this challenge, but I have chosen a New Baby Card.

I just adore the expression on this baby's face!!  So, so cute.  It is hard to fine time to do my crafting at the moment, as having Marie and Jackson staying here, makes it very difficult. Jackson managed to get a hold of some of my promarkers and coloured in some of the images I had printed out.  They are all now kept higher up.  This will be okay until he starts climbing on stuff to get up higher!!   I've got the house to myself at the moment, which is a lovely change.  I need to go and get some scrapping done now, to make the most of my time alone!!

Harrison's Birthday Card

Here is the card I made for my Grandson Harrison's birthday..
It is so hard to believe that he is now 7 years old.  This image was perfect, as Harrison has started to lose his teeth, and this wee man has a wonderful gap in his teeth!

I used chalk to make the clouds and stamped 2 swallows in the sky.  It is coloured with promarkers.

#169 Anything Goes

Here is a photo of Harrison, having a rest during a game of crazy golf.

I would  like to enter this into the challenge at Partytime Tuesdays. blogspot.
where  Challenge #169 is Anything Goes
I also want to enter Challenge #228  Clean and Simple at Mo's digital challenge.

I am heading off to make more cards now.  Hubby's birthday tomorrow, so better get a move on!!

Amazing You

My goodness, the lovely sunny weather didn't last long!  Back to dreadful rain, and  it is sooooo heavy!  YUK!!!
It did mean however, that I had time to scrap, as I couldn't get out to work in the garden.

I love the fact that I now have a wee Granddaughter and I can scrap girlie pages.  She is absolutely beautiful and she is now cutting teeth.
These two photos show her at an art day.  They had to wear a wee suit to keep themselves clean. I love the way she still has her wee headband on!!

Right, it's dinner time.  Just me and Jackson tonight, so Pizza on the menu - yum!!  Hope to see you soon - take care for now!

Scrap 365 April 2014

I subscribed to Scrap 365 as soon as I heard it was coming out, so I have read every copy.  I have never entered any of my work to them, so today I decided to do that, and discovered the April Challenge was already closed!  Woopsie!!   Never mind, I will still show it on here, and will hopefully be on time next month!

This is the sketch from them for April.

Here is my layout based on this sketch.

This photo shows my beautiful Grandson, Hadley.  He always takes such a good photo, and I knew I would scrap this one as soon as I saw it.  The title "Mischievous" is perfect for his cheeky wee face!!

Here is what I used
Papers - Echo Park
Title and words - Echo Park
Quote - 7 Gypsies
Spinner - K & Co
Playtime puffy sticker - Rayher
Buttons - from stash

I bought a wonderful pack of Bo Bunny Papers and Embellishments, so I am off to play with them - so exciting when you get new stash!!

The last 3 days were really scorching though, so hoodie was left in the apartment! Here are some photos.

Quicky  post today -
This is the Valentine's Card I made for my chubby, Hubby Eric.  We both love elephants, so I thought it was really appropriate when I saw the digi stamp from Just Inklined.

I used some paper which was a freebie from a magazine and also some hearts from my stash.
I used my Promarkers and also some chalk to colour this image.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges

Scrapbook Magazine issue 78

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Sunday wherever you are.I've been to church today, and done some housework too, so I think I deserve some crafting time.

Two of my layouts were in Issue 78 of Scrapbook Magazine.
This first one was based on the Theme - New Beginnings.

I thought this photo of Greg with baby Freya on her first day out of hospital fitted the bill perfectly. This is a new beginning for him as he is a father for the first time.
Materials used were all from Bo bunny - Zip-A-Dee-doodle,  I love this range of paper, but then I love absolutely everything Bo Bunny!!

The 2nd layout was based on a sketch, which unfortunately, I forgot to copy, so can't show you here.  This shows Dylan and Hadley looking absolutely nothing like twins!!  They are looking more and more different the older they get, but I think they are so handsome!

Off to do some card making now, will have a look to see what challenges I can do this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

A bit of Sunshine

Good Afternoon from a dreary, dark Perthshire.  Horrible day today, very dark.  This wee card might bring some sunshine though!

The challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil is #216 Flowers w/a Mo Image.

My photo isn't too good, as you can only see half of the sentiment and it has a shadow on it (blaming the horrible day) but it says Thinking of You.

I used some American Crafts Papers from my stash,
Flowers are from Wild Orchid
Leaves are cut from Bazzill using my Spellbinder Die

You just can't go wrong with an  image from Mo. can you?

Think I need a cup of coffee now.  Sleep was interrupted last night as Jackson woke up at 2 in the morning thinking it was 8 in the morning - groan!!  Early to bed tonight without a doubt!!

Anyone for Golf?

I hope everyone has recovered from the Christmas and New year Festivities!  I'm glad to get back to normal and get some sort of routine going again!!

I have used an image from Lili of the Valley for this man's card I've kept it simple as I don't think men really appreciate anything too fussy!

This was a stash buster, so I can't say where any of the papers are from, I used my Spellbinder's Dies for the sentiment and also to frame the image.

I am entering this into the challenge at
Crafty Calendar Challenge Blogspot which is Let's Celebrate
and also
Di's Digis Challenge Blogspot  where the challenge is Time to Celebrate

Time to make dinner, so have to go, but I'll be back soon!!
