About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Saints and Scissors

Hello again!  I've been very busy recently, setting up a craft group in our local Community Centre.  We have a wee church here in the village, and it was too small for the amount of people who were attending,  especially the amount of children we have there.  They decided to build a brand new building.  It took 3 years from planning to completion and it is the most wonderful place!!! There is the church section, meeting rooms, and a soft play area for children, as well as an outdoor area for children to play.  there is also a small garden with raised beds so people in wheelchairs can do some gardening. There is so much for the people in the village to do now.  Yoga, Pilates, Seated exercise, dancing, badminton, organised jogging and walking to name but a few.  We have a cafe area, where you can get tea, coffee etc., and some wonderful sandwiches and cakes!!!!!  I volunteered to help show people round and explain all about it, and I am really enjoying it.  I was asked if I wanted to start a wee craft group, which I have done.  As we live in St. Madoes, and all crafters use scissors, I came up with the name Saints and scissors!  I applied to our local council for a start up grant, and it was successful, so I now have a real excuse to go shopping!!!!!!  There are only 4 ladies at the moment, but I will be advertising it soon, to encourage more people to join us.

Enough rambling on, here are some of the cards we have been making.

We've had fun making these cards, and I'm looking forward to the weeks
and months ahead when we will be making some more.
