Here is my card using the image

Garden Party

These wee gnomes look like they are really having fun, don't they?

Can you spot my deliberate mistake?  I didn't make an easel card!!!!!!  I'm not very well, so I'll make that my excuse!

If you go on over to the blog, you will see what the rest of the Design Team have done, and maybe get some inspiration for a card of your own.

I really have to go now, so Bye for now, I think it is time for some more medication. yuk!
Take care xx

Hello once again.  Do you have the Christmas Spirit yet?  I'm battling another chest infection, so I still don't feel very Christmassy.  Don't have my Christmas Decorations up yet, so must get that done soon.

We are sponsored this week by

Dr Digi's House of Stamps

The prize is 2 images from the shop

The theme is Last Minute Christmas

I have used Christmas Jumper Seth

I love that jumper!!!!!  As a knitter myself, I think this image is fantastic!!

Crafty Catz Challenge # 18th November

Well, here I am again.  Another week has gone by.  Isn't it scary?  One week closer to Christmas  eek!!!!!

Theme for the Challenge this week is Christmas, and we are sponsored by

**** Prize - 2 images from store ****

I have used the image called Jingle all The Way

I used a sparkle spray (Which I wish I hadn't) and it changed the colour of the image.  It dampened it down a bit, and it is not as nice as it was, in my opinion, it was a lot brighter before that.  Never mind, it is finished, and I will move on to the next image next week (and no sparkle spray)!!!!

It's your turn now, head over to Crafty catz weekly challenge.blogspot.com/ and enter your card!!

Bye for now, I'll be back soon!!

Hello everyone, I'm here again, but I feel Mr Blogger is doing wonky thing s with my blog again.    I had done this post, but for some reason it didn't show up on my blog on the correct date.

Crafty Catz Challenge is Anything Goes with optional 3 or more layers.

I have gone back to my Magnolia stamps, which I havent used for a long time.

I think these images are brilliant for a new home card.  I layered up different papers and card, added some flowers and twizzles and a New Home sentiment. and that's it!

Why  don't you pop over to Crafty catz weekly challenge and enter your card?

I'll hopefully be back next week with another card.

Creatalicious Challenge #246 Anything goes with optional fall

Hello again and welcome to my blog.

Today I am showing you my Autumn card..  The challenge is optional Fall but here in the UIK we call it Autumn.  I don't usually make Autumn or Halloween cards, but I made this one for my craft class.  the all seemed to like it as it could be for a Birthday or just to say Hello1

I used distress inks on the background, then stencilled leaves all over it.  We then stamped and die-cut more leaves, colouring them the same way.  We made a wee pumpkin and stamped a border across the bottom of the card.

I hope you have a card you can enter into the challen'ge.  If you do, why don't you enter it now?

I must go now and finish some of the projects I made on my retreat.  Once I'm finished, I will put some pics on here.

Take care and see you soon! x

The theme this week is to use ribbon or twine.

I have used this super image

Isn't this a wonderful Christmas image?  She is happy to be able to decorate her tree.  I love decorating the tree, and it takes me ages to do as I am so fussy!! I used some green felt which I have had for ages.  I was happy to use some of it up.

Well, I must go and get some commenting done.  i love looking at other people's cards.  it is fun.
So, bye for now, take care and I'll see you soon.

Creatalicious Challenges #245

Hello again, and apologies, I am late once again.

This post should have been published on 15th October, and now it is 18th.

Time is just flying past too quickly for me!!

Anyway, here I am

The  theme at Creatalicious Challenges, is Halloween using Black or Purple

I have made a few Halloween Cards this year, so here is one which I think met the brief.

This image is from a kit by The Papeterie.  I die cut the image, and fussy cut the wee sweeties.  The paper on the background is black and purple, but it doesn't really look like that.
I think that's all from me for now, but I'll be back again real soon.
Bye for now and take care!

Crafty Catz Challenge #14th October

It's my turn to host the challenge over at Crafty catz weekly challenge blogspot.com

We are sponsored by

Visit My Online Store

http://beccysplace.com/

Grab My Button

http://beccysplace.blogspot.com/

Prize $10 Aud gift certificate
http://beccysplace.com/

I have picked the theme to be orange, black and purple
It's almost Halloween, so I decided to  pick Halloween  colours

The stamp I have picked is called Happy Anniversary and I think it is so much fun!!  It is not like the usual anniversary image, is it?

I coloured the image using Polychromos, and I used a die to make a frame, but the outside border went out with the card which the image is on.  This resulted in a very unusual border, but I think it is still effective.

So, it is over to you now!  Why don't you colour up an image using orange, black and purple, and enter it on the blog.  You might just win that wonderful voucher!
Bye for now, and I hope you have a good week.

http://www.thepapershelter.com

I have used the image Autumn Beauty, and she is indeed beautiful

I am not too happy with my colouring.  A lot of my Promarkers are leaking, and it made me grumpy!!  I wish I had coloured the background, I think it would look better.  Never mind, it will be fine!
That's all for now, need to get more knitting done.  I'll show you what I have been working on in my next post!
Bye for now!

I have used a Magnolia image for this card, which I have used many times.  The stencil I used is roses. which are all different sizes.  I have coloured the image using Distress Oxides.  I added Nuvo Crystal drops to some of the roses to enhance them.. I die cut a frame for the coloured image, and a very, very thin frame to go around the edge of the card.  I added a simple sentiment to finish it off.

Creatalicious Challenges #241

Hello again and thanks for stopping at my wee blog.  Well, I can't believe it is 15th again!!  School holidays are finished and kids go back to school tomorrow.  6 weeks went by in a flash.

Creatalicious Challenges theme is Butterflies.  I really like them, and a wee butterfly on your card can cover up a mistake really well! lol!!

Anyway here is my card

There is even a butterfly in the sentiment!!  Some embossing and die cutting on this card, and I have used yellow and orange.  Two colours which I don't use very often, I must confess.

Right it is over to you now.  Get those butterfly stamps, die and papers out and make a card!

I'll see you soon.  Take care in the meantime.

Creatalicious Challenges #240 - Embossing

Hello again! I must apologise for my absence in the last challenge, as I was fighting Covid and a chest infection  Didn't feel good at all, and couldn't stop coughing.

Anyway, I am fine now and back on track with my challenges.

The theme at Creatalicious challenges this time is embossing, either dry or wet.

I used a brick effect embossing folder for my card, and a window die, along with a window box die.

I decided that this would make an excellent New Home card. My son and daughter in law are  moving to a new house in a couple of weeks, so this card may end up on their mantelpiece!

It's time for you to enter your card in the challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges with your embossing.

I'll be back soon with more of my cards.  Take care until then

Creatalicious Challenges 238 Lots of layers

Hello once more from a very, very rainy Scotland!

I'm fed up with it!!  We  have spent ages growing plants in the greenhouse, and we can't get outside to enjoy them.  Garden looks lovely but the rain is slowly destroying the beautiful flowers.  So sad :(

So, onto the Creatalicious Challenges

the theme this time is lots of layers

I have used my dies and cut out lots of layers as required!!  Blue is my favourite colour, and I think this is a lovely card.  The Blue and white looks really sharp and really shows up the die-cut layers I think.

Well there we are.  It's the end of June already.  Where is this year going?
I hope the sun is shining where you are, and I will continue to live in hope!!
Bye for now!! xxx

Creatalicious Challenges 237

Time for another challenge at Creatalicious Challenges.

This time the theme is to use a Stencil.

I love using stencils, but I just don't use them enough.  I had the hard job of trying to decide which one to use from the dozens in my box!

This topper is one I got from my daughter, and I haven't wanted to use it
as I liked it so much!
I stencilled the background, and then put topper on.
Simple!! Very easy card.

Why don't you pop over to Creatalicious challenges blogspot

and have a look at the other cards on there.

I'll see you soon with the next challenge!

Creatalicious Challenges #236

Hello again!  I have just had to fork out for a new laptop, printer and kettle!!!!  Very expensive weekend I had.  Still loading things back onto my laptop, what a nightmare!

It's time for the Creatalicious Challenge once again.  This time the theme is "Lots of Bling"

I have chosen this wee card for a new baby

Once again, I have chosen an image from Mo Manning.  Isn't she a cutie?  This image can also be used for a boy of course.

I have coloured this image with Promarkers, the gems and embellies were from my stash.

I hope you like m y card, and remember you can see more Designer's cards on the Creatalicious challenges blogspot

Creatalicious Challenges #234 AG with option of Mother's Day

Hello again.  Have you been getting glorious sunshine where you are?  In my wee corner it has been glorious sunshine wall-to-wall and I am loving it!!

I've been very busy in my greenhouse, sewing seeds and watching them grow.  I love it and I marvel at this every single year.

So, onto the challenge.  Anything goes with the option of Mother's Day.

I have picked this wee card using a Lili of the Valley image.  The sentiment reads Picked Just for You, and that's what we do for our mum's, don't we?  We pick something special, as they are very special to us.  I lost my mum over 30 years ago and I miss her more now than I did when she passed away.  My daughter has just become a new mum, which now makes me a granny of 7 and 1 Angel Baby.

pop over to Creatalicious Challenges blogspot and have a look at the design team's cards, and then enter one of your own.

Take care and stay safe until the next time. xx

I love the spring, when everything comes to life.  I have flower seeds planted in my greenhouse and they are all sprouting wonderful green shoots.  It's wonderful to watch them appearing.

so it is over to you now.  Why don't you enter your card for the challenge?

Creatalicious Challenges #231

 Hello and welcome once more.

Well, the world is not a nice place at the moment, and I hate the news, as it is always bad news.  My heart goes out to anyone anywhere in the world who is struggling, in pain or living in fear.  I hope that common sense will prevail in every country.

I'm late for the Creatalicious Challenge, and I am so sorry.  However, here it is now.

The theme this time is Fairies, and I love the wee cutie pictured above.  I've actually just eaten a cupcake like that!  It was delicious too!

Well, this is going to be short and sweet I'm afraid.  I'll go  for now, but I will try to be back really soon.  Take care now. xxx

Creatalicious Challenges #230

Hello again and welcome to my wee part of the world.  it was a beautiful sunny and warm - yes warm day today.  Beautiful blue sky and sunshine all day, really super for 1st March.

I should have loaded this up yesterday, but 28th February is my Grandson's Birthday, and I was helping his mummy to bake cakes for his little tea party.  No party again for him this year because of Covid.  His mummy is 7 month's pregnant, and she doesn't want to take any risks because of baby.

So, onto the card for this challenge.

The option for this time, was something green, so I chose this card.

I actually made this card using items from The Papeterie Monthly Kit.  The green on the card is actually greener than it appears in the photo,  but I think it still meets the brief.

It's over to you again, you can enter your card over at Creatalicious Challenges blogspot

That's all for now, I'll be back soon!  Take care until then.

Creatalicious Challenges #229

Hello again!  I hope you are well and staying safe.  It is really cold here in St Madoes, and we keep being told that snow is on the way, but so far, touch wood, it has stayed away.

It is time for another challenge at Creatalicious Challenges  The theme is Anything Goes, with the option of doing your own background.

For my background, I used a honeycomb stencil and I also stamped some wee bees all over, colouring them with Promarkers.

It isn't easy to see on my pic, but the big bee's wings are acetate and lift off the page.

The stamps are from Pink Ink, a brand I only discovered recently.

So, now, it is over to you!  Have a look on the Creatalicious Challenges Blog at the other Design Team Member's Cards to get some inspiration and get your own card on there!

Creatalicious Challenges #228

 Hello again!

How are things in your part of the world?

It is cold  and windy here with more storms forecast.

  I hate winter!!

Over at Creatalicious Challenges the challenge is to create a card with the theme of love.

It will soon be Valentine's Day after all!

I have chosen a card I made showing an elderly couple, who are very obviously still very much in love.

I simply adore this image. Mo Manning has excelled yet again.  They just look so sweet, don't they?  I kept the decoration simple, so the main focus was on the coloured image.

This was coloured using my Promarkers, and I coloured the clouds using chalks.

Well, that's me for now, I'll hopefully be back really soon.

Take care till then!
