About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Goblin Queen

Good Afternoon everyone.  I've been trying to be productive,
to make a bundle of cards, as the pub which sells my cards need some more.
Pressure is on!!

I took some time out to colour this image from Simply Be and put her on a card.
She is called The Goblin Queen, and they had a challenge to colour her.  We had to decide if she was on the Light Side or The Dark Side.  It has been great looking at all the cards to see how different one image can be.

I think she is on the Light Side, what do you think?

I am entering this in the Crafting from the Heart Challenge
which is "Anything goes"

right I am off to get more cards done!  Bye for now!

Whisper a Wish to a Butterfly

Here is my Design Team Layout for Issue 88 of Scrapbook Magazine.  The theme was "Mum".

I am creating a family scrapbook so I was quite happy to scrap these photographs of my Mum.  I think my Mum was really beautiful when she was a young woman, and she bore a resemblance to our present Queen I think.

She worked as a nurse, and the 2nd photo was taken on the steps of Westgreen Hospital where she worked and also met my Dad.

Mum is no longer with me, and I seem to miss her more now, than I did when she first passed away.  There is a saying that if a Butterfly flies close to you, it is someone in heaven come for a wee visit.  When I saw this sentiment card I thought it was perfect, as I would love a Butterfly to take a message back to my Mum to let her know that I miss her and I wish she was here to see the Great Grandchildren which were born after she passed away.

I used a lot of flowers on this layout, as Mum loved flowers and always pottered away in her garden.

The papers, sentiment and cameo were from Bo Bunny
Flowers from Wild Orchid.
Butterflies are from Prima

I hope you like this layout, it is a very special one to me.
Take care and I would love to see you come back for a visit soon!

Birthday card for Rob

This is the card I made for my Son-in-Law, who lives in New Zealand.  He lives in a very, very busy household, with 3 young boys.  I think he would appreciate getting the chance to sit down with a beer and put his feet up!!  who knows, maybe he will manage it for his birthday at least!
This image is from Mo Manning and is coloured with promarkers.

I am entering this into the following  challenge.
Simply create Too - #79 Anything goes

My energy levels are really  low today, so I am going to put my own feet up for a while! lol!
Take care and see you soon!

Love is in the air

It's Valentine's Day once again.  We decided not to give each other present's this year, but I still made a card for my Chubby Hubby.

I recently discovered images by Rick St. Dennis on Etsy and I immediately fell in love!
His  images are just so different and they contain so much detail.
The image on the front of my card is called Morning Goddess True Sexxy
I like this image as I think she looks a bit like me.  She is a curvy lady and she has blonde hair the same length as mine!!

This was the wording in the inside of the card.  Explaining to him, that whilst I would like to look like the first lady in the mornings, I actually resembled the 2nd lady.

and this lovely lady is called Morning Goddess Deb I hate Mr Alarm Clock

This images sums me up perfectly, as I hate getting up in the mornings, and it is best that you don't speak to me for a while! LOL!!
I am entering this image into the
Sparkles Challenge. which is #64 One for the Boys

I think the front of my card fits the bill perfectly!!
I am also entering it into the challenge at

Anniversary Card

Hello from a snowy Perthshire!
It is so cold  brrrrrrrrrr
A nice day for sitting crafting though!

I am entering the following card into a few challenges.
This card was made as a commission for an anniversary card.

I made a stepper card on this occasion.
I used chalks to make a cloud background and stamped a swallow.
The papers are form K and Co.,
I wanted to make it fairly simple, and just added one flower and a sentiment which I thought was very apt for an anniversary.
"The heart that loves is always young"
so, on to the challenges.

The challenge #246 at Mo's Digital Challenge is

Anything Goes with the option of something warm.

I believe love keeps us warm, especially a love
that has been going strong for many, many years.

The challenge #194 at Party Time Tuesdays is Anything Goes

and finally

over at Crafting From the Heart challenge #44 is also Anything Goes!!

I'm away to do some more colouring.

If you do stop here for a wee look, please leave a comment,
or become a follower, I get a wee bitty lonely here on my own!!

Art by Miran Challenge #23

Hello from a very cold St Madoes, Scotland!!!

I have started the new year full of big intentions.  I have joined Kit and Clowder Colouring classes, and I have been tidying out my Craft Room, as it was becoming difficult to even see the floor!!

I'm needing a break right now, so I am entering a couple of challenges.

I only came across Art by Miran images a wee while ago, and I love her images.  Yet another place for me to spend my pennies groan!! lol!!!

I kept the card quite simple, and just added a wee bit of sparkle to the snowflakes.  You can't really see that on the photo unfortunately.

 I used my Promarkers
Snowflakes cut from Spellbinder die
Sentiment by Lilli of the Valley
Card is Core-dinations
Paper is from stash.

The First Challenge I am entering with this card is

#23 Anything Goes on Art by Miran blogspot
and the second is
#194 Anything Goes at Party Time Tuesdays Challenge

I'm off to e-mail some photos to my Sister now, and then I will tackle another box in this craft room!  Have fun and please become a follower if you stop for a look.

This is a wee close-up

We had a wonderful photo session in the Bluebell Woods.  Jackson was so good, and was a perfect wee model.  Here is another photo from that day. It was wonderful and I was so pleased with the photographs which photographer Ruth Trotter took for me..

Jackson and Mumted who goes everywhere with him.  I love the way he just decided to give her a cuddle.
