About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Chubba

It's time for another sketch from Let's Scrap!  Here it is.

I really liked this sketch, and did this layout really quickly.
This shows Hadley as a 1 year old.  He was a right wee pudding,
and he had the nickname Chubba.
His twin brother Dylan was a lot smaller and he was called Dinky!!!

I used papers from K & Co - Hopscotch boy
Title used Thickers letters
Animal Stickers are from Sandylion.
This layout was good as it used up little strips of paper.
I keep every little bit you see! You never know when you will need them!

That's all for now, but thank you for coming by.
Please leave a comment, to let me know you were here.

Let's Scrap 9-15-15

It's time for a new sketch at Let's Scrap, and my first on the Design Team again.
I was on the Design Team a couple of years ago, and it is so nice to be back.

Here is the new sketch, and here is the link to the website so as you can enter if you wish.

Here is my layout for this sketch.  It shows Rob and the boys playing crazy golf.
Just look how happy Rob is, as he has had a hole in one!!
Harrison still needs a bit of help from his Daddy, but loved it all the same.

All papers, stickers and lettering is by Echo Park
Wee golf man is by Smirk
Bunting is from a pound shop (hubby bought it for me)
I'm off to work on another layout for a commission.  Why don't you try to do a layout based on this sketch?  I would love to see it over on the blog!

Snow Pals

Time for a challenge card I think!

This is a card using a super cute image from Mo Manning called Snow Pals.
I went a bit overboard with the glitter, but there's nothing wrong
with a bit of sparkle is there?
I used papers from my stash, the trees and the pine branch
were cut using a Spellbinder die. Of course I had
to put some glitter on them too!!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges

Crafting from the Heart  - Challenge #76 Anything Goes
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge  #291 Anything Goes
Creative Craft Cottage  #47 Let's get Spotty
Allsorts Challenge #327 Lots of Layers

That's all for now, lots of things to be getting on with today,
I need to make the most of it when I'm not on babysitting duties!!

Let's Scrap Design Team

Wonderful News!!!
I have been selected to be on the Design Team for Let's Scrap Sketches! Woo-Hoo!
We were given a sketch which we had to interpret in our way, you can see the sketch below.  So happy to be chosen, and my term will run from September2015  until February 2016.
This is the 2nd time I have been on the Design Team, and I can't wait to get started with all the sketches, and to see what everyone makes with them.

This is the sketch we were given, and it can be found here
if you want to play along too.  Sketches are put up
on the 1st and also 15th of every month.

This is the layout I made using just the left side of the sketch.

This shows wee Dylan, being a bit of a grumpy Santa.
I chose the title "Tis the Season to be Jolly" as I thought it was apt!
He had decided he had had enough of dressing up as Santa, and he wanted the suit off!

Materials I used were all from Bo Bunny.

Please play along with us, it would be wonderful to see what you can make!

August Mouse

Oh my goodness, it is the 15th of the month already, and that means it is time
to unveil my Facebook Elite Design Team image for Rick St Dennis

Just look at this wee mousie!!  She has packed her bags,
and she is going somewhere wonderful I am sure!!
I have made this into a Leaving Card, as I think it is perfect for that.

This is such a cute wee image, and she was free,
to anyone who entered last month's challenge on
The Challenge runs in two parts. One month, the theme is "Anything Goes", and,
if you enter that one, you get a free image to play with in the next month's challenge!!
Easy Peasy, and a brilliant way to get more of Rick's wonderful stamps!!
Plus if you win, you will get even more stamps!!

Two Years Old

I have so many photos which I need to sort out and scrap, or put in albums.
I am old fashioned, as I still like to see a had copy of a photograph.
So, here is the recent sketch from Let's Scrap Sketch Blog and it is showing
photographs of my Grandson Jackson.  They were taken on his 2nd Birthday.
Told you I was way behind!  He is 3 now! lol!!

I just used the left hand side of the sketch, as I didn't have enough similar photos.
I have had these papers from Heidi Swapp for a long time now, so I was glad to use them.
I also have a massive stash of brads, so I managed to use 9 of them here!!

It is almost time to pick up Jackson from the Nursery, so I'll go now,
but thank you so uch for stopping here and please come back again!

Giggle

Here is my latest layout, using photos of Freya when she was about 1 year old.
I love the little dimples in her hands, and the wide open carefree chuckle!
The best sound in the world is a young child laughing.  It is totally infectious.
The sketch is from Lets Scrap Sketches

I used these beautiful rosettes and flowers from Papermania.
They are part of the capsule collection.
They matched the paper from Lost and Found perfectly.
I love when a layout comes together like this, it was no effort at all!

Here is a wee close up of the rosettes, and also the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I added a wee pearl button to the centre of the flowers and also on the larger
rosettes on top of the buttons which were already there.

The "lovely" sentiment is also from Lost & Found.
It's lunchtime, and I have my wee lodger here for a sleepover
