Crafty Catz challenge #9th September

Hello once again.   I hope you have all enjoyed your summer.  We had a break from Crafty Catz challenge, but we are now all set to go again with our challenges.

The Challenge for this week is to use a stencil

The winner of this challenge will receive a $6 voucher for Di's shop

Here is my card for this challenge

I have used a Magnolia image for this card, which I have used many times.  The stencil I used is roses. which are all different sizes.  I have coloured the image using Distress Oxides.  I added Nuvo Crystal drops to some of the roses to enhance them.. I die cut a frame for the coloured image, and a very, very thin frame to go around the edge of the card.  I added a simple sentiment to finish it off.

Why don't you  enter a card in the challenge

I'll be back next week with another card and a new challenge!

Creatalicious Challenges #241

Hello again and thanks for stopping at my wee blog.  Well, I can't believe it is 15th again!!  School holidays are finished and kids go back to school tomorrow.  6 weeks went by in a flash.

Creatalicious Challenges theme is Butterflies.  I really like them, and a wee butterfly on your card can cover up a mistake really well! lol!!

Anyway here is my card

There is even a butterfly in the sentiment!!  Some embossing and die cutting on this card, and I have used yellow and orange.  Two colours which I don't use very often, I must confess.

Right it is over to you now.  Get those butterfly stamps, die and papers out and make a card!

I'll see you soon.  Take care in the meantime.

Creatalicious Challenges #240 - Embossing

Hello again! I must apologise for my absence in the last challenge, as I was fighting Covid and a chest infection  Didn't feel good at all, and couldn't stop coughing.

Anyway, I am fine now and back on track with my challenges.

The theme at Creatalicious challenges this time is embossing, either dry or wet.

I used a brick effect embossing folder for my card, and a window die, along with a window box die.

I decided that this would make an excellent New Home card. My son and daughter in law are  moving to a new house in a couple of weeks, so this card may end up on their mantelpiece!

It's time for you to enter your card in the challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges with your embossing.

I'll be back soon with more of my cards.  Take care until then

Creatalicious Challenges 238 Lots of layers

Hello once more from a very, very rainy Scotland!

I'm fed up with it!!  We  have spent ages growing plants in the greenhouse, and we can't get outside to enjoy them.  Garden looks lovely but the rain is slowly destroying the beautiful flowers.  So sad :(

So, onto the Creatalicious Challenges

the theme this time is lots of layers

I have used my dies and cut out lots of layers as required!!  Blue is my favourite colour, and I think this is a lovely card.  The Blue and white looks really sharp and really shows up the die-cut layers I think.

Well there we are.  It's the end of June already.  Where is this year going?
I hope the sun is shining where you are, and I will continue to live in hope!!
Bye for now!! xxx

Creatalicious Challenges 237

Time for another challenge at Creatalicious Challenges.

This time the theme is to use a Stencil.

I love using stencils, but I just don't use them enough.  I had the hard job of trying to decide which one to use from the dozens in my box!

This topper is one I got from my daughter, and I haven't wanted to use it
as I liked it so much!
I stencilled the background, and then put topper on.
Simple!! Very easy card.

Why don't you pop over to Creatalicious challenges blogspot

and have a look at the other cards on there.

I'll see you soon with the next challenge!
