About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Lady in Waiting

Oh I am doing so well right now!  Yet another layout and it is a double page one!  This is for Let's Scrap using sketch #5-25-11.  This shows Corinne when she was pregnant with the twins.  She took a photo each month to show me how big she was becoming.  The quote says:- I am an onlooker on my daughter's dance, which I made possible because she came through me.  I am not a part of her dance, yet whenever she takes an pause and needs someone to talk to, I am there, but that special dance with her children and the future is hers.  - Liv Ullman.  I thought it summed up our situation exactly as she is in New Zealand and I am in Scotland and had to solely rely on photographs to see her progress.

This is the first time I have entered a challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge.  The criteria was to use one of Mo's images and flowers and pearls.  I love this image of the wee girl with her balloons, it makes me laugh so much.  i love Mo's images, her style is just right up my street and I have a few of her images now and of course, I want to get some more!!

Extreme Scrappiest Blogspot ~ #121

Hello Again!  I am really on a roll this week!  This layout is based on the sketch below which is #121 from the Scrappiest.blogspot.com The picture shows my big brother Ian on the left with his friend Graham.  This was one of his first cars.  It is a Consul, but we nicknamed it Olly Onsul because of the registration (OLY) and the fact that the metal nameplate on the front of the car had the "C" missing, therefore it read "Onsul" !!! There is another photo of my brother I am trying to track down so as I can scrap it, so watch this space!!  I am trying to get as many old family photographs onto layouts, in order to show my 2 girls.

More Magnolia Cards

I thought I would show some more Magnolia cards.  I love the image above, she is so cute and girly.  I had lots of orange and peach flowers which I wanted to use, so I found co-ordinating orange and peach paper, and coloured her accordingly.  I am really happy with the way it turned out.
This is another really sweet image and I thought it was apt to use the Thinking of you sentiment, as she looks as if she is happy to see someone!
This image is really spring like, as she is cuddling a wee lamb on her knee.  I used yellow as there are lots of daffodils blooming in Spring and when I think of Spring, I think yellow!!!
I am entering this card in the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog Challenge - Weddings.  I have put a verse inside which says
Throughout the years ahead
May all your sweetest dreams come true
As each future anniversary
Brings more happiness to you

I love this Magnolia image, as it is modern and different from the usual top hat and tails wedding cards.

Wedding Cards and a layout.

Marie and I went along to a coffee Morning in the Village and sold some cards.  We gave a donation to Carse in bloom who were having the event to raise money for more plants in the village.  They do a wonderful job and the village looks lovely with all the flower boxes.  A lovely lady asked me to do a special card which I did, and you can see it above.  I was really pleased with the way it turned out.  I used an image from Crafts U Print, paper from K & Co., and gems and peel-offs from my stash.
I just love this Magnolia image of Edwin giving her a cuddle - it is sooo sweet!
This card was made using one of my new Hanglar and StAnglar stamps.  I love it!  I used a Magnolia stamp for the fence and paper and flowers from stash.
This is image of a sketch from Let's Scrap for National Scrapbooking Day.  I actually missed the deadline to enter it, but never mind!  I really must get my scrapping done quicker.  Marie and I had gone on a Road Trip in 1995  away up to John O'Groats at the very top of Scotland.  I had never driven so far on my own before and it really was an adventure.  We found a Llama Farm, which we didn't expect in the Scottish Highlands, and we also went to Dunrobin Castle amongst other things.  It was great fun and we still talk about it and laugh.

Wedding Day

At long last, I have managed to scrap one of my Wedding photos.  This shows us outside the church when we were getting covered in confetti!  I have used  sketch #235 from Pencillines.  I used K & Co. Blue Awning paper.  Everything else is bits and bobs from my stash.  I am late yet again with this sketch as the new one will be posted tonight!  Never mind, one of these weeks I will finish it earlier.
