About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Book About Me #1

This is my first layout on the Let's Scrap Website 'Book about Me'  (BAM) challenge.  I have only used the left side of sketch 7-27-11.

One of the suggestions given for your layout was -
What’s in a name? – There are many ways you could scrap about your name.
  1. What is your name’s definition?
I decided to use this as a theme, as I have an unusual name, Rhoda.  It is a Greek name and means "A Rose"  Rhoda was also mentioned in the Bible and I have included the following verse from (Acts 12:13)  on a tag under one of the photographs.

13. Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door.    14.When she recognized Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed, she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, "Peter is at the door!"  15.  "You're out of your mind,"  they told her.  When she kept insisting that it was so, they said "It must be his angel."

These are the earliest photographs I have of myself, and they were actually found on an old camera spool when my Mother died.  We sent it to be developed, and lo and behold - there I was!!!  It was so exciting! I was surprised they could actually develop them after such a long time.

The sketch is so cute, but what you did with it is absolutely lovely!
