About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Volupte for Rick St. Dennis Facebook Elite Design Team

Hello and thank you for coming to look at my blog.
This is my first card for the Rick St Dennis Elite Facebook Design Team.
I fell in love with this image when I saw it on someone else's  card!
She is a very lovely lady.
She is called Volupte and can be found

The papers were from My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found collection

Here are a couple of close-ups.  The brooch and gems were from Bo Bunny.

The sentiment was also from Bo Bunny from the Prairie Chic collection

Here is a close up of the lady herself.  Wish I had her figure! lol!!!

The white sprigs and green roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Burgundy flowers, ribbon, diamante and lace are from my stash.

Happy Dance

Rhoda is doing a Happy Dance today!!!  I have just found out that I have been selected to be a Design Team Member for Rick St. Dennis!!!!!!!!!!!!  this is something that has been on my bucket list for ages, and now I can score it off!!  I am so happy today, going around with a big cheesy grin on my face!!

I had to submit 2 cards, one was on my last post here called Valentine Hat and also this card below

This card is not my usual style, but it was fun to do something different and broaden my talents (hopefully)

I can't wait to get started on my first design.
I'm going now to do more colouring and finish off some New Baby  cards I am working on.

Thank you for coming by my blog, it would be lovely if you could leave a wee comment.  that way, I can visit your blog too!  Take care now

Valentine Hat

Hello from a very sunny Perthshire.  We are having lovely weather at the moment, it's almost too good to be true!  I'm just hoping it lasts a while.
It's lovely to hear the birds singing and lawnmowers buzzing away!

I have just finished this card and wanted to enter it in a couple of challenges.

The image is from Rick St. Dennis and you can find it here  Valentine Hat

Rick St. Dennis has images in various forms.  From Beautiful ladies
to vampires and skulls!  Lots of choice there for you.

I'm still practicing my hair, but I am happy with the way this one turned out.
I added little crochet flowers from Prima and a wee wooden birdcage which I bought in a pack of 4 in a book shop for £1!!!! Such a bargain I wish I had bought more than one pack though!

I am entering this card in the following challenges

Party Time Tuesdays # 197- Anything Goes

Glitter n Sparkle # 131 - Anything Goes

and lastly
on Rick St Dennis Facebook Page Challenge

I'm babysitting now, so no more playtime for me.
I'm now going to be playing with Thomas trains on a track with Jackson!

If you stop for a wee look here, please leave a comment.  It really makes my day if I can see someone has been on my blog!

Bottom of the List

Good Afternoon!!  It is a lovely sunny day here in Perthshire.  It definitely feels Spring-like, so hopefully the weather will start to improve.

Here is a card I was asked to make.  Sympathy cards are always so difficult. I would say that they were definitely at the bottom of the "like" list for Crafters.  I do like the way this one turned out though.  I used a Clarity Stamp, and card and ribbon from the stash.

This card can be used for several things.  Birthday, Thinking of You, or simply Hello!!

The bird and the sentiment are both from Clarity.
I used a Martha Stewart punch and matted and layered it up.
Ribbons and gems from stash.

That's all from me today, I'm off to colour a digital image from Rick St. Dennis - Great fun!!

Take care now!
