About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

I am on a roll!!! I have managed to get a Pencil Lines sketch finished in time! This is sketch #231 and it shows my Son-in-law Rob and my Grandson Harrison. They were like mirror-images and both Corinne and I took a photo, hence the two different angles. This was also on Shelley Beach when we were staying at the Bach. I used My Mind's Eye, Dreamy 2 papers and also Pink Paislee, Vintage Moon papers. The title is from Bo Bunny and the Cloud and Lettering is from Echo Park. The embellishments were from My Mind's Eye and the buttons, which I thought resembled pebbles, were from my stash. Hope you like it!

Here is a layout I have made using the sketch below, which is Sketch #213 from Sketch Inspirations. The photo was taken on Shelley Beach on the Coramandel Peninsula, New Zealand and shows my daughter Corinne watching the sunset. I love the photograph and wanted it to dominate the layout, so made this very, very simple, just using 2 pieces of paper, some Prima pearls and some ribbon. I was asked to make a couple of Anniversary cards, and the one below is for a Golden Wedding. I used a downloaded image from Mo Manning and coloured it with promarkers. Some gold Mirra card, and some prima flowers complete the card. This card, however, is my favourite. This is for a Platinum (70 years) Wedding Anniversary. Once more, I have used an image from Mo Manning. The Paper is from Creative Imaginations and I have also used some Prima Pearls which I simply love at the moment!

New layouts

Here is the layout I have done for the Sketch Inspiration website. I just love this photograph as it shows Hadlay and Dylan with their two friends, Jack and Ryan. They are looking at this giant model of a Kiwi as if they don't have a clue what it is! I used Basic Grey Recess papers and American Crafts Thickers for the title.
This is for Let's Scrap website, and I have only used the left hand side of the sketch. This is Harrison in a photo taken by his Nanny Rika. She gave this photograph to me at Christmas along with one of Hadley and Dylan. I used paper by Three Bugs in a Rug, the clock face is from Tim Holtz. The train sticker is by Echo Park and the title "cherish" is from K & Co.

This is a card I made using a Hanglar & Stanglar image. I used my Promarkers and Prima flowers
.

This is the March sketch from the Bella Creations. The pictures show Dylan and Hadley when they were 20 months old. I decided to record the things which they really like so as when they are older, they will know what they liked as babies.

Here is my take on the Pencil Lines sketch 226. The picture shows Harrison helping his Daddy to water the garden. It is busier than the way I normally scrapbook, but I really like the end result. i have actually managed to complete this sketch in time to put it onto the Pencil Lines website - usually I am way too late!
I am a happy girl today! One of my layouts was featured in Scrapbook Magazine Issue 53. This was a scraplift from a previous edition of the magazine. The photo shows my Mum, my big brother and one of my big sisters. Mum is out haning washing on the line. I love the way her stockings are rolled down to her ankles!!! This was taken about 10 years before I was born as I was a bit of an afterthought!

First of all - a card for a baby boy - my friend's daughter has just had a baby so I made 3 cards in order to choose the one I preferred!

This is a birthday card for a wee boy.  This is another wee boy's card - I am in love with Hanglar and Stanglar stamps at the moment, I am having great fun colouring them with my promarkers. So much so that my "blush" marker has run out! Will need to get another one real soon!

This is a layout showing Harrison, Hadley and Dylan in their wee speedos - or "budgie smugglers" as we like to call them!!! They were playing in the garden in their paddling pool and had such a good time. - We did too just watching them!!!
This is a layout showing Harrison when he was just a few months old. His Daddy is a Chef, so they dressed Harrison in a Chef's hat and placed him in a pan with items strewn around about! Poor wee guy, you can tell from his face that he wasn't happy! Well, I must go and work on another layout!
