About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Archie

My goodness, time is just flashing by at the moment.
It is very true, the older you get, the quicker time goes by.

I'd like to show you a card I have made using an image
 from Rick St. Dennis

This wee chap is called Archie and he can be found here on Zibbet
I made a simple card, but his shirt is as loud as can be!!
He looks very happy in it though, and who can blame him, he is on holiday!!
I'm not quite sure what to use this card for, but it may be good
for a retirement card.  Once I make up my mind I will put a sentiment on it.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges.

Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Crafty Girlz Challenges - Anything Goes / Summer Holidays
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes

I am now going to start a Scrapbook Layout before Jackson appears for his sleepover.  I don't get much crafting done when he is here as he wants to take all my pens etc.  If I give him his pens and crayons they are not as good as mine!  They learn young don't they? LOL!!
Have a good weekend everyone and thank you so much for stopping here for a wee while. xx

Princess

I would like to share a layout of my beautiful wee Granddaughter Freya.  I just love being able to do girlie layouts now, and I can see her Scrapbook being far bigger than any other!!

These photographs were taken on the day she was born, when she was still in hospital with her Mummy.  She is gorgeous.  I'm biased of course!  Poor Kim looks exhausted, and Greg isn't much better!
On the tag, it details her date and time of birth -

Materials I used are:-

Cardstock - Bazzill
Papers - Bo Bunny
Felt flowers - Maya Road
Lettering - Sam & Lucy Weave Extras
Lace from stash

The sun is coming out here, so I think I may make the most of it and go out to the garden after lunch.  Jackson will be here, so he can run around for a while.  Have fun whatever you are doing!

Morning Goddess Edie

It's time to reveal our cards for the Progressive Challenge at Rick St. Dennis' Sparkle and Glitter Blog

My card shows Morning Goddess Edie resplendent in her
dressing gown and curlers!!
I used the sentiment "Pamper yourself it's your Birthday"
as I thought this is what she looked like she was doing!
If you head on over to the blog,
you can see what the other DT members have done.

Here is a wee close-up of the embellishments I used.
I am trying to use up my stash, and I am taking out items I
have had for ever and ever, and I am making myself use them!!
The flowers you see here fit into that category.
Don't know where they are from, or how long I have had them,
but at long last I have used them!! Hooray!!!
(or some of them at least, I still have 3 in the packet though,
which didn't match the colour scheme)lol!!

That's all for now, off to do some more colouring.
Thanks for stopping for a wee look.

Card for Freya

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I have a new card to share with you today.
I made this for my wee Granddaughter, Freya, who was 2 years old yesterday.
I am making an attempt at different card folds, to get away from the square ones which I usually do.

Okay, it's still square in places, but it is a bendy square! LOL!!

I used one of my favourite colour combos, pink and brown.

I can't remember the maker of the image above, but it is a really sweet design.  I have put all my rubber stamps into special folders, and no longer have the details.  If you recognise the maker, please let me know?

The two images above are from Lilli of the Valley.
The paper is from Bo Bunny (my favourite)
The pinwheels are from Papermania.
Gems are from stash.

Let's Crop

Hello everyone.  It's a dreary dull day here in Perthshire,  the sun has got lost yet again. He keeps teasing us with 2 gorgeous days, then goes again to heaven only knows where!!

I have made a few cards lately, so I would like to show you this one,
with a free image from Simply B Stamps
We had to use the image, the sentiment and make splatters on the card.  I have done everything as requested!!  I used Cosmic Shimmer and a brush to make the splatters.  The papers are really old, so I am happy to be using up some stash.  I'm afraid I don't have any details for the other items
I have used, they were all nameless in boxes.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Crafty Girlz Challenges # 3 Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door   Anything Goes June 16-20

That's all for now,  more cards need to be made!  Thanks for stopping!!

Mr Tea

This is my card for the Progressive Challenge Part 2
over at the Rick St. Dennis Blog
You can find this funny wee image here  Mr Tea
I spent a lot of time trying to colour the cat to look like fur,
but I think I need more practice!!

This image was very good for me, as I love tea and drink cups
and cups of it throughout the day.
I mounted the image onto green card, and decorated the base
with green  card, and pink paper.
The paper actually has teapots and cups on it,
but you can't really see it.

I fussy cut out cups and cupcakes to finish it off, as tea is always better with a wee cake!!  thanks for having a wee look at my blog, please leave a message so as I know you have been here.  thank you and see you soon!!

Haute Couture

Sorry, I have been Missing in Action lately.  I seem to have so much going on at the moment! It is quite scary.  I have slotted in a bit of time for a bit of blogging and also some colouring hopefully.
This image is called Haute Couture, and is another of Rick St. Dennis' Digital Images.  Isn't she glamorous?  Here is the link on Zibbett if you want to find her.

I decorated the card using very old paper from a Hot of the Press pad.  I added ribbon and gems, and the flowers and silver corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  This is actually one of the images I coloured when I was on holiday.  Oh memories!!  I am now going to upload this to the Rick St Dennis page on Facebook.  I have another card to upload tomorrow, when hopefully I will get more time.

Have fun crafting and thanks for stopping for a look.  Please leave a comment to let me know you have paid a visit.
