About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Let's Get Sketchy January 21

 Hello again!

I have not made any layouts for months and months.  this lockdown has really affected my mojo, but I am pleased to say I have one to show you now.

I have used this sketch from Lets get sketchy blogspot

I immediately knew which paper I was going to use, and that I would make a layout showing our wee angel Harper with her mummy,my daughter Marie.

I used this paper pad to make a memory book for Marie to put scan pictures and photos of Harper.  I'm glad I had this sheet left for my layout!

I am entering this layout on the Let's Get Sketchy Blogpost January 2021

Creatalicious Challenges #203 Anything goes plus optional use Kraft Paper

Hello again.  Well, do you have snow?  We have!  Not very much,

but enough to see a few snowmen out and about.

We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and we have been given a beautiful snowy image to work with.

Our  Challenge is Anything Goes with the option to use Kraft Paper/card

Without further ado, here is my card

The beautiful image is from The Paper Shelter

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and used fake snow all

over the card to give a really snowy, glittery effect.

I mounted the card onto a Kraft Card, as per the Challenge Rules.

Well, that's all for now, but I'll be back really soon!

We are sponsored this time by Di's Digis.

Here is my card

So, for good luck I have, black cats, a horseshoe  and also some lucky White Heather.
That's all from me for the moment.  I'll be back soon!

Creatalicious Challenge #201

Hello once more and welcome to my wee corner of the world.

The theme at Creatalicious Challenges is "Christmas"!!

i made 80 Christmas Cards this year, but I am not sending any.  Because of our recent Bereavement , I just can't face writing happy things on cards.

So here is 1 of the 80!

I used stamps and die from Chloe, and made an easel card.
I love a blue and white colour combo for Christmas Cards.
I am not too keen on the usual red and green!

i would like to enter my card in the following challenges.

That's all for now, but I hope you all have a Lovely time a Christmas,

and hopefully 2021 will be a much better year.

our wee Angel, Harper

Hello everyone and welcome once again.  IT's almost Christmas, and a New Year.  2021 lets hope it is a lot better than 2020 which has been the worst year ever.  Our baby Granddaughter Harper, lost her battle and passed away on 25th November, just 2 days short of being 4 months old.

Very sadly, we only got to meet her once, very briefly in the hospital, where they bent the rules to allow us in to say Hello and Goodbye.

So many tears have been shed, and quite honestly, we do not feel very Christmassy at all.

The show must go on, however, for the sake of our other Grandchildren, Jackson, Freya and Freddy.

Creatalicious Challenges # 199

Hello again.  boy the weather has changed over in my corner of the world.  So very very cold.  It is November so I shouldn't complain.

It's time to show my Design Team Card for creatalicious challenges.blogspot.com   #199

We are sponsored by  Colour of love

The theme this time is  "Anything Goes + optional autumn/Thanksgiving"

I chose the beautiful image Rory's Autumn is in the air.  She is a beautiful image and jus look at her hair!!  I had lots of fun colouring it.  I must admit that hair is the hardest thing to colour in my opinion, but I think I am getting better.  Practice makes perfect!!

I coloured Rory with my Polychromo pencils which I love.  I coloured the background with Distress Oxide ink and then stamped leaves and flowers  around the border.  I then finished it off with a stamped verse.   It's the first time I have actually coloured anything in Autumnal colours, but I have to confess I love it!  I am really pleased with how this card turned out.   I don't often say that about my work, I am always very critical.  You have to give yourself a pat on the back sometime though don't you?

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges.

Creatalicious Challenge #198

Hello again and thank you for popping by my wee blog!  It has been quite chilly of late, and the trees are all changing colour and looking absolutely beautiful.  We are definitely into Autumn.

Halloween is quite sad this year.  Covid has put paid to all the kids' fun, as they can't go trick or Treating.  I still decorated a pumpkin with Jackson though and we put it in the garden at the front of the house.  Very low-key, but Jackson seemed happy enough with that.

So, onto my card for Creatalicioous Design Team.

Our sponson this time is the wonderful Doctor Digi  who has digital images, which are really funny.  Go and have a wee look if you haven't done so already!

The image I chose is Rodeo Rhoda I just had to pick that one, didn't I?

Isn't she hilarious?  I just love this image, and  I feel I could use it on
Birthday Cards for ladies who like to have fun!!

Why don't you enter a card into our challenge?

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges.

That's all for now!
