About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Ballgown in The Parisien Style

Hello bloggers, I m back from my wonderful holiday in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.  I'm all nice and brown and relaxed so I'm a happy bunny!

Here is another card showing an image from Rick St. Dennis

I used Polychromo pencils to colour her and actually did this on holiday.  Sitting on a sunbed, with my box of pencils beside me, and a cool drink within reach. - bliss!!

Here are a couple of close-ups.
The one above shows the detail on the upper part of her body.
I used my favourite colour (blue) to colour her dress
I decided to give her blue eyes too!

This photo shows the flowers I used.  They are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The metal embellishment,  lace, gems and card were from my stash.

Here I am on my sunbed with my two favourite pool attendants Ahmed and Billy.  Seems like a long time go!!  I'll just have to put up with the horrible Scottish weather now.

Valentine Hat

Hello from a very sunny Perthshire.  We are having lovely weather at the moment, it's almost too good to be true!  I'm just hoping it lasts a while.
It's lovely to hear the birds singing and lawnmowers buzzing away!

I have just finished this card and wanted to enter it in a couple of challenges.

The image is from Rick St. Dennis and you can find it here  Valentine Hat

Rick St. Dennis has images in various forms.  From Beautiful ladies
to vampires and skulls!  Lots of choice there for you.

I'm still practicing my hair, but I am happy with the way this one turned out.
I added little crochet flowers from Prima and a wee wooden birdcage which I bought in a pack of 4 in a book shop for £1!!!! Such a bargain I wish I had bought more than one pack though!

I am entering this card in the following challenges

Party Time Tuesdays # 197- Anything Goes

Glitter n Sparkle # 131 - Anything Goes

and lastly
on Rick St Dennis Facebook Page Challenge

I'm babysitting now, so no more playtime for me.
I'm now going to be playing with Thomas trains on a track with Jackson!

If you stop for a wee look here, please leave a comment.  It really makes my day if I can see someone has been on my blog!

Bottom of the List

Good Afternoon!!  It is a lovely sunny day here in Perthshire.  It definitely feels Spring-like, so hopefully the weather will start to improve.

Here is a card I was asked to make.  Sympathy cards are always so difficult. I would say that they were definitely at the bottom of the "like" list for Crafters.  I do like the way this one turned out though.  I used a Clarity Stamp, and card and ribbon from the stash.

This card can be used for several things.  Birthday, Thinking of You, or simply Hello!!

The bird and the sentiment are both from Clarity.
I used a Martha Stewart punch and matted and layered it up.
Ribbons and gems from stash.

That's all from me today, I'm off to colour a digital image from Rick St. Dennis - Great fun!!

Take care now!

Take 2

Okay, this is Take 2

It always helps when applying for a Design Team Place, that you get everything correct, i.e. you make sure you use that company's stamps on your entry!!! doh!!!!!
So, here we go

Here is the card I would like to use to apply for the Clean and Simple Design Team    I always like to have some Wedding Cards made, as people ask for them quite a lot.  I love this image, as it is not too fancy, in fact, it is clean and simple!!
I mounted the image onto some blue card.  The only embellishments I used were pearls.  A flourish from ZVA Creative, and a couple of pearls from The Hobby House.

There we go all done, and I think I have complied with all the rules this time LOL!!

Bobbin Fairy Clean and Simple

Hello from a dull and dreary Perthshire.  Where has the sun gone?  All the bulbs are coming up in the garden, so we know for sure that Spring is on the way!!

I've been busy making cards, and I want to show you this one I made using an image from
he is called Bobbin Fairy

I love Mo's fairies, they all look so cute and cheeky!

This is a CAS (clean and simple) card, and I love the way it has turned out.
I printed the image on white card and coloured him with Promarkers.
I put some glitter on his wings, and added a button onto his strap.
I then mounted the white card onto red card, to draw attention to the red thread etc.
I took an 8" x 8" scalloped card and covered with some chevron striped paper, which was free from one of the many magazines I subscribe to.
The red card was then stuck onto the patterned paper.
I computer generated a sentiment
Mum you are so amazing!!
and then cut it out using a Spellbinder scalloped heart die.
I placed this on the corner of the card.
I threaded some Bakers Twine through a red button, tied it in a bow and stuck it to the corner of the card just above the sentiment.
Done!!!!!

Image from Mo Manning
Papers were free from a magazine
Heart sentiment cut from Spellbinder Heart Die
Button and Baker's Twine from stash

I would like to enter this  card in the following challenges.

I would also like to enter this in the Make it Crafty design-team-call
